New PC and a new Doctor!

Filed under: Uncategorized — hugsalot @ 3:29 pm

I have a new PC and it’s taking some time moving my stuff over, and getting it to how I like it. Big problem is this new PC won’t take the 4gigs of RAM I paid $90 for some stupid reason. So now I can only use 2gb for now. It’s still wicked faster than my older machine in most respects, and it’s a quad core!

Looks like David Tennant will be looking for a new job, as the Doctor was shot by a Dalek and is in the middle of a regeneration at the end of this weeks episode in a big cliffhanger.  Next weeks episode will be the season finalle, and I’m hearing roumors that the series won’t pick up till 2010.  Hopefully we will have Torchwood, and Sarah Jade Adventures to fill the void in the meantime.  But really it’s sad to see Tennant’s Doctor die off, with so much death going on recently even a fantasy death of a fictional character still seems sad, and dissapointing.  Ida know, im hoping that something happens to the Doctor and David Tennant remains as the Doctor for a while longer. Remember his severed hand in the jar is on the tardis, I can’t help but think that’s going to play some sort of role.

RIP George Carlin

I’m very sad to hear the news of George Carlins heart failure this past Sunday. This one is going to be really hard for me as it was with Sam Kenison death, and Fred Rogers death.  Yeah I know those two people are polar oppsites, but lets just say I have eclectic tastes.  It really sucks to hear something like this when it’s late at night and I’m thinking about going to bed for the night.  It’s going to be hard to fall asleep thinking about George passing, I already have an exiety about death as it is.  So I can either stay up all night, or cry my self to sleep. Thank you for everything you’ve ever done George, I will fucking miss you so much.  >sniff<

New iPhone

Filed under: Uncategorized — hugsalot @ 9:52 pm

Wow, it’s only $200. I’m no apple fanboy, far from it, but most smart phones are in the $500 range like the iPhone used to be, but now faster, and cheaper. Steve Jobs is a genius at crushing the competition by overcharging the apple fanboys who willingly over hyped the product. Then dropped the price a few months later. And now releases a new 3G phone with better speeds, and battery life and drops the price to a mere $200, now nearly ANYONE can afford it, crushing the Blackberry!

I may likely get one since it’s so cheap, however I hope the new 3G iPhone will be as “hackable” as the original one is. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the old home brew hacks for it will not work on this new model. So while I would like to get one, and I’m already an existing AT&T customer, I think I’ll wait a while after everyones been using the new iPhone, see some reviews and reports before I drop two Bens on one.
